If you are interested in anime, then you are sure to have heard of the mascot “Black Rock Shooter”.
Black Rock Shooter actually has a very unique history to her. It all started when famous artist Huke drew a picture of BRS on December 26, 2007, and famous Miku artist Ryo was inspired to write lyrics to go with Huke’s picture.
Huke created a video to go with lyrics written by Ryo and posted the completed version on Nico Nico. In 2010 a short 50 minute (and almost plotless) OVA was released. On August 25th, 2011 a PSP game of Black Rock Shooter was released exclusively to Japan. In February 2012 a 8 episode TV anime was released, which further explained the OVA released in 2010.
You have now been educated on the origin of Black Rock Shooter.
I discovered the wallpapers for BRS in the early 2K’s. I collected them on an old hardrive I had for sometime before letting them go. In 2024, I still enjoy BRS imagery and am glad a decent anime has been made, with an awesome OST as well. Am I alone?
